Shortly after posting this blog (the next day, but the first time I had actually gone outside) I witnessed many more examples of this behaviour, I also witnessed the other directional phenomenon. I watched numerous cars that seemed incapable of making a right turn. Since, in Canada, we are allowed to make right hand turns on a red light (after stopping and making sure the way is clear) I would have thought people could maintain their lanes in this simple activity.
Alas, I was wrong
I am not a square peg trying to squeeze himself into a round hole. I could put a square peg into a round hole, but only the four corners would have any real contact. Only four corners would conform to the greater hole. I am a more akin to an octagonal peg. More of me fits in and is no different than everyone out there. However, there is a part of me that won’t conform. There is a part of me that needs to rebel, to speak out, to shout out. Nothing is off limits. No one is safe.
